Safeguarding in our school

Everyone at Staveley Community Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of our pupilsSafeguarding is the responsibility of all adults working in or on behalf of our school, and training is updated regularly.

Key safeguarding contacts

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Lauren Evans.

Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Mrs Fiona Roberts and Mrs Lisa Appleton.

Our Safeguarding governor is Mrs Geraldine Barker.

If you have any safeguarding queries or concerns about a child in school, you should speak to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (or Deputy in their absence) in the first instance.

Early Help
Staveley Community Primary School is committed to North Yorkshire’s Early Help Offer, which aims to ensure children, young people and their families receive the right support at the right time to stop problems escalating. Early Help can be provided by a range of staff in different organisations, such as health services and schools.  North Yorkshire County Council’s Early Help team help professionals, parents/carers and young people find the right solution as quickly as possible.  The Early Help team can be contacted on 01609 534842.
